Please make sure your pet is accessible. This is key to minimizing your pet’s stress during their exam. For a shy cat, this may involve confining them to a small room prior to our arrival. Remember to close off any rooms that contain a lot of hiding places (like bedrooms and basements). Cats feel much more secure when we see them in a small space and don’t have to pull them out from under the bed or a hiding spot first. If you have a dog that is a little more reserved with strangers, you may want to have a leash handy and be sure to close the doggy door, if you have one.
