We strive for you and your pet(s) to always have a positive veterinary house call experience! Please feel free to contact us with any special needs, concerns or questions you may have about your pet or appointment procedures.
Please make sure your pet is accessible. This is key to minimizing your pet’s stress during their exam. If your pet would benefit from having anxiety medication prior to their appointment, please let us know in advance.
For shy cats, we recommend confining them to a small room and closing off areas with numerous hiding spots, such as bedrooms or basements.
For dogs that may be reserved around strangers, have a leash available and close any doggy doors before our visit.
Dr. Merry examines your pet wherever they feel most comfortable in your home, eliminating the stress of a traditional exam table. This may mean sitting on the floor with larger dogs, joining them on the couch, holding cats on a lap, or allowing your pet to remain in their favorite bed.
This relaxed approach is especially beneficial for geriatric pets with mobility challenges and anxious pets that may be too tense for a thorough clinic examination. In addition to the exam, we will also conduct any vaccines treatments and diagnostics during your pet(s) appointment.
After the examination, Dr. Merry will answer questions and develop a healthcare plan for your pet.
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept checks, major credit cards, and Venmo. You’ll receive an emailed copy of your invoice along with Dr. Merry’s consultation notes.
Some nice treats and affection are dolled out and your pet can go back to relaxing in the comfort of their own home.
